Today increasing importance is being attached to fostering youngsters’ healthy living habits. This is a simple but enlightening sentence which can be naturally associated with the significant role that healthy living habits play in young people’s life.

According to some authoritative surveys, the physical fitness of the youngsters is declining compared with predecessors and unhealthy living habits are the main factors. Supposing that the youngsters intend to lead a healthy and high-quality life, it is imperative that the youth should break unhealthy habits. To begin with, unhealthy living habits such like eating junk food, staying up late or long-term sedentariness may increase the risks of developing certain diseases including obesity, diabetes and gout, which will severely affect young people’s life quality. Moreover, some young people overindulge themselves and become addicted to playing online games or watching short videos, which will do great harm to their eyesight, necks or even waists. Lastly, some young students who may ignore the importance of maintaining public hygiene in the post-epidemic context may spread certain infectious diseases. A case in point is that someone who has caught the flu but does not wear a mask in the public may spread influenza to people around him.

In a word, people can reap lifelong benefits from good living habits. Therefore, youngsters should say goodbye to unhealthy living habits.
