一、 shall在疑問句中的用法
在疑問句中用於徵求對方意見，主要用於第一人稱(在英國英語中，也用於第三人稱)，其意爲“要不要”、“…好嗎”
l I get you a chair for you?
要不要我給你拿把椅子來?
shall we do this evening?
我們今天晚上做什麼呢?
l the boy come at once?
要不要這孩子馬上來?
二、shall在陳述句中的用法
在陳述句表示說話者的允諾、告誡、威脅、命令、規定、必然性等，主要用於第二、三人稱
shall suffer for this.
你會爲此事吃苦頭的。(表威脅)
day shall come.
那一天一定會來。(表必然性)
him that he shall have the book tomorrow.
告訴他這本書明天給他。(表允諾)
4、Persons under 18 shall not be employed in night work.
不滿十八歲的人不得僱傭幹夜間工作。(表規定)
注：有時用於第一人稱，表示決心。
I shall return. 我一定回來。(表示決心)

shall和will作爲助動詞可以與動詞原形一起構成一般將來時，例如：

說明：
在過去的語法中，語法學家說shall用於第一人稱，will 只用於第二、第三人稱。現在，尤其是在口語中，will常用於第一人稱，但shall只用於第一人稱，如用於第二、第三人稱，就失去助動詞的意義，已變爲情態動詞，試比較:
He shall come.
他必須來。(shall有命令的意味。)
He will come.
