报告显示 越来越多的学生青睐海外读研

The number of Chinese studying master's degrees overseas continues to increase, according to a report.

一份报告指出，出国读研的中国留学生的数量在持续攀升。

Students who apply for master's degree or above overseas made up 68% of all students planning to study abroad, up 8 percentage points from 2017 and 11 percentage points from 2016, according to the Report on Chinese Students' Overseas Study released by New Oriental Vision Overseas and Kantar Millward Brown.

根据这份由新东方前途出国和凯度华通明略近日发布的《中国留学生报告》显示，计划出国就读硕士及以上学历的学生占所有计划出国留学生的68%，占比分别较2017年和2016年增加8个百分点和11个百分点。

The rise in the number of applicants for the master's degree or above overseas indicates an increasing number of students willing to obtain a higher academic degree to elevate their competitiveness, the report read.

报告称，申请出国读研或以上学历的人数上升说明，想获得更高学历以提高自身竞争力的学生数量有所增加。

Students who apply for master's degree or above overseas accounted for 47 percent of all Chinese students already studying abroad, the report showed.

申请海外硕士及硕士以上学位的学生，占中国所有已出国留学的学生总数的47%。

The interviewed students chose to study abroad for the purposes of expanding their horizons (64 percent), enriching life experience (64 percent), learning advanced knowledge (49 percent), and obtaining better jobs (44 percent).

受访学生选择出国留学的目的是扩大视野（64%）、丰富生活经验（64%）、学习高级知识（49%）和获得更好的工作（44%）。

The report was based on a survey of around 5,000 students who plan to go to school abroad or were previously overseas students, and their parents and some employers, in more than 40 cities across China in February and March.

该报告是基于一项约5000名留学生（计划留学生和海归、其父母及一些老板）参与的调查而得出的。调查期在2月和3月，受调查者来自全国逾40座城市。
