首先,覺得雅思聽力速度快,最傳統也是最有效的解決方法就是多聽。除了反覆練耳朵,別無捷徑(No easy way)。
除此之外,建議平時大聲朗讀文章(read aloud),並且保持一定的速度。聽和説是密切聯繫的,因此,快速的朗讀在一定程度上是可以促進(promote)聽力水平的提高的。需要注意的是,朗讀時要記得考察自己的讀音是否正確標準(correct),否則適得其反。
其次,英語基礎的不牢固,對英語詞彙的辨識度不夠,所以要聽説結合,正確的發音(pronunciation)。
聽和説是息息相關的:聽力不好,口語(speaking)可能就不太好;反之亦然。很多時候,因為我們的發音不好甚至不對,句子重音移位甚至錯位,導致我們對本來是正確的英語句子和單詞產生了“無法辨識”的錯覺,大腦根本無法處理(deal with)這些信息,因為平時習慣了那些錯誤的聲音。就算能夠勉強調整(adjust)過來,聽力材料都已經過了一大半了。
對於這一類原因,建議平時多跟讀正確的材料,例如各種新聞廣播(news broadcast),來達到糾正發音和練習聽力的雙重效果。此外,在平時做練習時有意識地將自己的發音與標準發音有出入的詞記下來並強化訓練,保證以後不再有類似錯誤(mistakes)。
最後,就是英語詞彙量(vocabulary)不夠,所以想要提高雅思聽力速度,就要背誦單詞了。
很多考生有這樣的經歷,單詞聽到了,理解了,就是寫不出來。這是因為單詞的形體和讀音之間還沒有建立起穩定的聯繫(stable connection)。

這道Section 1的填空題如果是放在閲讀題中的話答案是非常明顯的,可以説完全就是送分題,但是在聽力中就搖身一變,成了一道很容易丟分的題目。
相信大家如果是看到”rather than”肯定不難知道它的意思是“而不是”,不過在做聽力題的時候我們的耳朵往往會忽略它或者是聽到之後大腦中反應不過來它的轉折或否定含義從而直接填了front這個單詞。其實當我們聽題時準確抓出rather than 之後,就可以很輕鬆的填出stage這個答案了。
總結:
的不是大家的詞彙量,而是對常見轉折信號詞的積累以及耳朵對於rather than 這個發音的敏感度,特別是than 的弱讀[?(?)n] ,這樣在聽題的過程中才能抓住重點。
常見的轉折信號詞有but, however, although , despite, inspite of, instead of 等, 另外, 否定詞其實也是轉折信號的一種,同學們在聽的時候一定要注意其中一些詞的發音特點,例如wouldn't這個詞真正在句子中很多情況下d和t都是不發音的。
