In the first place, no one can ignore the fact that wood is an indispensable raw material for industrial production and daily life. In the second place, the expanding human population requires more living space, and forests are always the first choice humans decide to sacrifice. As a result, forests have experienced, and are experiencing fatal destruction worldwide。
Currently, people in increasing numbers come to realize the forests' fundamental role in sustaining ecological balance, and their damage will result in irreversible harm to the world's environment. Therefore, urgent and effective measures should be implemented so as to prevent deforestation. 禮到心不到
As is vividly depicts in the cartoon, old parents are sitting on the coach with disappointment and sadness, because no one comes back to celebrate with them. Although they received a lot of presents from their children, they feel very miserable and have no appetite, since what they want most is not such material stuffs but the care and love from their children and grandchildren。
Nowadays, young men look so busy and independent in modern society that they will never feel free to live with their parents. They move out and mind their own business every day. On usual days, they would not like to take their time to visit their parents with the excuses of busyness. On some festival days, they probably share a little time to drop in their parents or even just send some presents but don't show up personally like what the cartoon above illustrates. One glance at the cartoon can leave the viewer in awe of its beauty and splendor. One can only imagine the amount of patience that was required before any of this greatness was to be achieved. Here it is a symbol of strong man, whose character is revealed in crisis and adversity. It goes without saying that adversity is the touchstone of man-the harder the situation is, the more clearly a man's strength is seen。
This picture reminds me of my father, a most determined and persistent man. He was born in a very poor family in the country, and both of my grandparents were farmers, but he was determined to change his own fate ever since he was a little boy. He studied extremely hard, graduated from high school with distinction and went to study computer sciences in the University. He later became a professor and art expert in computer programming-he could design large-scale programs for supermarkets, hotels, parks and bookstores all by himself. The best way to know a strong man, I think, is to let him go through a severe test. Whenever we want to test a man's character, we should find out whether he could stand adversity, because adversity can always reveal the true character of a man. Take crude oil for example, it is so immensely consumed in daily life and industrial production that its role is fundamental in today's global economic and political stage. People of different nations even initiate wars to obtain more oil fields, an activity which can be best exemplified by the complicated scenario in the Middle East. Other examples include more disputes over the sharing of water resources, as well as the lack of food and other necessities in most African countries。

上班族的壓力
What a vivid picture! Just as the picture depicts, there are so many things or desires that the man has to bear or to seek. And it is like him that almost every one of us feels exhausted. Every day we jump out of bed with the earsplitting ring of the alarm-clock, swallow a quick breakfast and then rush to catch the bus. When arriving at the workplace, we have to work every minute to its full value until we drag home and throw ourselves deep into the sofa. The fast pace of modem life do bring us great pressure。
The first stress-maker is competition. Nowadays, many people, the strongly career-minded ones in particular, are involved in a fierce competition for money, ranks, and fame. In the rat race, they try every means to stay on the top, and the fear to lose the game inevitably wrecks their peace of mind. The second, a reason closely related to the first one, is unhappy interpersonal relationships. Some people are so stupid at people skills that they always feel ill at ease when working with others. 校園炒股
What the drawing is trying to express is very conspicuous! The eye-catching scene depicted has become a common sight on college campuses in recent years. Speculating about the stock market is no longer a new thing among college students and continues to become more popular. A kind of stock trading league has even been set up at several universities。
However, should a university student invest in the stock market? Just as every coin has two sides, there are also two sides to a student's decision to invest and trade in the stock market. On the negative side, following the stock market is very time-consuming, and, as a student's main priority is to study, may undermine academic pursuits. Furthermore, students often do not have the financial means to take on large ventures in the stock market, and thus could hardly withstand potential losses. On the other hand, if stock market investment is economically feasible for the student, it is a different story. Assuming one can manage his or her time well enough to keep up with studies, investing in the stock market can be a great way to get first-hand financial experience, while at the same time preparing one for life after college。
Based on the points discussed above, personally, I hold the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. After pondering the question on several occasion, I have finally arrived at conclusion that stock market investment should not be recommended to most college students. (239 words)
