curricular的意思是“課程的”，extra是“額外”的意思，因此extracurricular是表示“課程之外的”。課外活動除了用extracurricular activities表示之外，還可以說nonacademic activities。Club,society,organization,association,group這幾個詞都可以表示學校裏的社團組織。
