show grit ：拿出你的勇氣來，展現你的勇氣。grit 的本意是粗砂，很容易讓人感覺堅韌、頑強。
e.g. <1>Once the team started losing they didn’t try anymore. They really didn’t show much grit.
這個隊伍一輸球就不再努力了，他們真的沒拿出勇氣來。
<2>You need to show some grit if you want to succeed in the rough world of business.
如果想在艱難的商界勝出，你需要拿出勇氣來。

hit ：這裏表示被盜的意思，相當於rob。 hit 的本意表示重擊。 be hit by something 被什麼給予重重一擊
e.g. <1>The telephone company hit me with a bill for over $1000.

<2>When her cat died she was really hit hard by it. It affected her a lot – she was sad for weeks.
