Tip:

一般在向上司或人事部申請加薪時，對方會問加薪的理由What makes you think we should give you a raise?(你爲什麼認爲我們應該給你加薪?)，這時就應該舉出正當的理由來說服他們。less和than連用有兩種結構:less than和less... than...。less than後面接形容詞、副詞時，意爲"不;很少;不到具有否定意義。如 The young man is less than twenty years old. (這個年輕人不到20歲。); less... than意爲"不像……;不是……"。例如: Joseph is less honest than his brother. (約瑟夫不像他兄弟那樣誠實。)
