專八備考改錯練習：美國人的朋友圈
相信大多數同學都已經迎來了期待已久的寒假，不過英語專業的同學可不能放鬆哦，等下學期一開學，專八考試就近在眼前了，所以不如趁着寒假趕緊多複習複習，多做做題練練手，非英語專業的同學也可以來看看，說不定英語水平能有個大提升呢。

1．but→and語篇錯誤。由上下文的語義判斷，句間的邏輯關係應爲並列關係，上一句說到在過去的20年裏，美國人的密友圈大幅度縮小，下一句提到超過一倍的人說沒人和他們討論重要問厝．二者在意義上屬於並列關係，故此處應把錶轉折意義的but改爲and。
2．more (confidant)→fewer語篇錯誤。前文已經提到美國人的密友圍縮小，第二段用研究數據顯示能和自己一起討論重要問題的朋友減少了，可見美國人的知己減少了，而不是增多了，故此處應改爲fewer。
3．are→are詞彙錯誤。be used to表示“習慣於”，後接名詞或動名詞，used to表示“過去常常”，後接動詞原形，此句要表達的意思是“和過去相比，現在美國人的朋友更傾向予以家庭關係爲基礎。”故此處用used to，符合上下文語義。
4．which→that或which→which劃語法錯誤。此處是賓語從句，引導詞在從句中不充當任何成分，故應該用從屬連詞that, 此處that也可以省略掉。
5．∧a→as詞彙錯誤。paint...as意爲“描述成……”，此句的意思是“該研究把美國人的社會交往描述爲一種連接緊密的、封閉的、同類人的關係”。
6．themselves→itself語法錯誤。此赴指代的是set，故應改爲單數形式itself。of ties表所屬，用來修飾set，此處意爲“關係”網。slowing closing in...爲伴隨狀語對set進行補充說明。
7．focusing→focused詞彙錯誤。此赴和前面的smaller, more tightly interconnected並列，作動詞become的表語，故應該用形容詞focused，意爲“集中的”。
8．less→fewer詞彙錯誤。less作爲little的比較級，是用來修飾不可數名詞，此處後接的contacts是可數名詞複數形式，故應該用fewer。
9．lonely→alone語法錯誤。lonely是形容詞，意爲“孤獨的，孤單的”，此處修飾動詞bowling應該用副詞，故要改爲alone，表示“單獨地，獨自地”。
10．are→the詞彙錯誤。a number of表示“許多”，the number of表示“……的數目”，此句要表達的是“家庭成員工作的小時數增加”，故應該用the number of。
