2018備考英語四級的辦法二、考試寶典1.寫作
寫作部分測試學生用英語進行書面表達的能力，所佔分值比例爲15%，考試時間30分鐘。寫作測試選用考生所熟悉的題材，要求考生根據所提供的信息及提示(如：提綱、情景、圖片或圖表等)寫出一篇短文，四級120-180詞，六級150-200詞。
2.聽力
爲了適應新的形勢下社會對大學生英語聽力能力需求的變化，進一步提高聽力測試的效度，全國大學英語四、六級考試委員會自2016年6月考試起將對四、六級考試的聽力試題作局部調整。調整的相關內容說明如下：①取消短對話 ②取消短文聽寫 ③新增短篇新聞(3段)，其餘測試內容不變。
自本次考試起，調整後的CET4聽力時間爲25分鐘，考試起止時間調整爲9:00-11:20。
3.閱讀理解
閱讀理解部分包括1篇長篇閱讀和3篇仔細閱讀，測試學生在不同層面上的閱讀理解能力，包括理解篇章或段落的主旨大意和重要細節、綜合分析、推測判斷以及根據上下文推測詞義等能力。該部分所佔分值比例爲35%，其中長篇閱讀佔10%，仔細閱讀佔25%。考試時間40分鐘。
長篇閱讀部分採用1篇較長篇幅的文章，總長度四級約1000詞，六級約1200詞。閱讀速度四級約每分鐘100詞;六級約每分鐘120詞。篇章後附有10個句子，每句一題。每句所含的信息出自篇章的某一段落，要求考生找出與每句所含信息相匹配的段落。有的段落可能對應兩題，有的段落可能不對應任何一題。
仔細閱讀部分要求考生閱讀3篇短文。2篇爲多項選擇題型的短文理解測試，每篇長度四級爲300-350詞，六級爲400-450詞;1篇爲選詞填空，篇章長度四級爲200-250詞，六級爲250-300詞。短文理解每篇後有若干個問題，要求考生根據對文章的理解，從每題的四個選項中選擇最佳答案。選詞填空要求考生閱讀一篇刪去若干詞彙的短文，然後從所給的選項中選擇正確的詞彙填空，使短文復原。
4.翻譯
翻譯部分測試學生把漢語所承載的信息用英語表達出來的能力，所佔分值比例爲15%，考試時間30分鐘。翻譯題型爲段落漢譯英。翻譯內容涉及中國的歷史、文化、經濟、社會發展等。四級長度爲140-160個漢字，六級長度爲180-200個漢字。
