They say that when you die your life flashes before your eyes. Will you see any-thing other than a small black box in the corner of your room? What have you changed in this world? What will you leave behind?

Or maybe you are surrounded by people all the You are the center of attention and everybody loves you. You go out with your friends, partying and having fun, but what about in the morning? You wake up with a severe headache and an upset stomach. What about your death? Do you think it was time to go?

You could be the exact opposite. You may want company, but for whatever reason not have it. Maybe you’re scared or shy. You go home, lock yourself in your room, and sink into anger.

Are you an adventurer? Will your love of adventure lead to your end? You can never be quite sure when your heart and spirit will be broken. All your adventures will one day be forgotten and it will all have been for nothing.

Or maybe you played it safe your entire life. You outlived all those others, but what for? You never did anything great; you never made anything of yourself. You’re alone in all your security, but is that worth it? You just took up space on this earth.

They say that when you die, your life flashes before your eyes. What will you see?

It takes both rain and sunshine to create a rainbow. Lives are no different.

There is happiness and sorrow. There is the good and the bad; dark and bright spots we can handle adversity, it only strengthens us. We cannot control all the events that happen in our lives, but we can decide how we deal with them.

Richard Blechnyden wanted to promote Indian tea in the St. Louis World Fair in 1904. It was very hot and no one wanted to sample his tea. Blechnyden saw that all the other iced drinks were doing flourishing business. It dawned on him to make his tea into an iced drink, mix in sugar and sell it. He did and people loved it. That was the introduction of iced tea to the world.

When things go wrong ,as they sometimes will, we can react responsibly or resentfully.

Human beings are not like an acorn which has no choice. An acorn cannot decide whether to become a giant tree or to become food for squirrels. Human beings have choices. If nature gives us a lemon, we have a choice: either cry for grace or make lemonade.

It's just the same with the financial storm. The crisis is like a lemon, now we have a choice: either cry for bitterness or weather the storm with confidence and courage.

Benjamin Franklin

Franklin’s life is full of charming stories which all young men should know —how he sold books in Boston, and became the guest of kings in Europe; how he was made Major General Franklin, only to quit1 because, as he said, he was no soldier, and yet helped to organize the army that stood before the trained troops of England and Germany.

This poor Boston boy, without a day’s schooling, became master of six languages and never stopped studying; this neglected apprentice conquered the lightning, made his name famous, received degrees and diplomas from many colleges, and became forever remembered as "Doctor Franklin", philosopher, scientist and political leader.

Self-made, self-taught, the candle maker’s son gave light to all the world; the street bookseller set all men singing of liberty; the apprentice became the most sought after man across the world, and brought his native land to praise and honor him.

He built America, for what our nation is today is largely due to the management, the forethought, the wisdom, and the ability of Benjamin Franklin. He belongs to the world, but especially he belongs to America. The people around the world honored him while he was living; he is still regarded as the loftiest man by the common people today after his death. And he will live in people’s hearts forever.
