我希望女兒能知道這些事
Everyone knows that life is hard, but for girls and women, it can sometimes be especially hard for us to get what we want in life (while still 100 percent getting it, thank you very much). Although my daughter is still small and hasn't had to overcome any strenuous obstacles yet (besides the monkey bars at the playground), she's going to realize soon enough that growing up isn't easy.
每個人都知道生活不易，但身爲女孩和女人，有時候得到我們自己想要的東西卻尤爲困難（雖然我們還是會百分百的得到這些東西，謝謝你的努力）。雖然我的女兒還很小，還不需要克服任何艱難困苦（除了操場上的單槓），但她很快就會意識到成長並不容易。As her mother, I can't hand over a rulebook for her to follow. All I can do is try to give her the tools she'll need to make good decisions, while giving all my love and support along the way. There are some things that I want her to know about life as a woman, and I hope these lessons help mold her into the iron-willed, caring, strong woman.
作爲她的母親，我無法遞給她一本規則手冊，讓她按其行事。我能做的只是給她做決定時需要的工具、同時也給予她我的愛和支持。我希望作爲女人，她能知道生活中的這些事情，我希望這些教訓能把她塑造成意志堅定、會關心人的堅強女性。
1. Speak up for yourself and other women if a man is harassing you, physically or verbally. Never remain quiet. Never tolerate it.

2. Speak up for yourself and other women if you aren't being represented properly at school, in the workplace, or in any another area. You deserve to be seen.
2. 如果在學校、在工作場所或者在任何其它地方，你未被恰當代表，那麼請爲你自己、爲其她女性發聲。3. Set a goal, and then set one higher. Believe in yourself that you can do it, because with hard work, there are no boundaries that stand in front of you.
3. 設定一個目標，然後再設定一個更高的目標。相信自己可以做到，因爲辛勤努力後，沒有什麼障礙能夠阻擋你。4. Treat your body well with nutritious foods and exercise. Love that body, and strut it proudly regardless of its size.
4. 好好對待自己的身體：吃營養豐富的食物、鍛鍊。愛你的身體，並引以爲傲（不管尺寸大小）。5. Your body belongs to you, and you only. It's no one's to talk about and no one's to touch unless you say so.
5. 你的身體只屬於你自己。除非得到你的同意，否則無人能提、無人能碰。6. You can do whatever it is you want to do. Want to be an astronaut? Work hard at math and science and you'll be in the stars in no time.
6. 你可以做你想做的任何事情。想成爲宇航員？好好學數學和科學，很快你就能翱翔天際。7. Follow that gut of yours. Listen to it, never ignore it.

8. 愛所有人，不管他們背景如何。9. Be brave. Hike the mountain, study for the MCAT, or travel across the world. When you act bravely, you can do anything.
