A group of bikini-clad women was escorted by security from a Beijing shopping complex after they were hired to promote a new app Tuesday.

Images of the models quickly went viral on social media, sparking discussions on the recent slew of publicity stunts across China involving half-naked models.

On the women's buttocks were two small QR codes promoting the app. The message "Use me" was printed in Chinese on their lower backs.
超過十個穿着黑色比基尼和高跟鞋的美女大約中午出現在建外SOHO，作爲互聯網公司內什麼的推廣活動的一部分。以爲目擊者告訴環球時報記者，在女模們的屁股上有兩個小小的二維碼是用來推廣該公司的app的，還有“用我”的文字印在背部下面的位置。
"They said they were paid 1,000 yuan ($157) each for doing this," the witness said.
“她們說她們每個人都得到了1000元（157美元）來做這件事。”現場圍觀者說。Security guards escorted the women from the commercial complex, who were picked up by the organizer before police arrived, according to Beijing Times.
