China's sprinter Su Bingtian became the first Asian-born person to officially beat the 10-second barrier in the men's 100 meters.

5月30日，在國際田聯鑽石聯賽尤金站男子100米比賽中，中國短跑運動員蘇炳添以9秒99的成績獲第三名，正式成爲首個突破10秒大關的亞洲人。

At Saturday's IAFF Diamond League in Eugene, the 1.72m-tall runner finished third in 9.99 seconds, behind Americans Tyson Gay in 9.88 and Mike Rodgers in 9.90. "I am so proud for my result. I can write my name into history now and will work harder and run faster," said the 25-year-old.

美國選手蓋伊以9秒88奪冠，同樣來自美國的羅傑斯以9秒90排名第二。蘇炳添現年25歲，身高1米72。他表示："我爲自己今天的成績感到自豪，我創造了歷史，我會在今後的比賽中更加努力，爭取跑得更快。"

China's Olympics 110m hurdles champion Liu Xiang witnessed Su's record-breaking performance. "You are great! You are great!" Liu said.
