美國五角大樓收到含劇毒蓖麻毒素可疑信件

A suspicious envelope that was addressed to President Donald Trump was intercepted by the Secret Service last Monday, US authorities say.

美國當局聲稱，美國特勤局於上週一截獲了一封寄給唐納德·特朗普總統的可疑信件。

The envelope did not enter the White House.

不過該信件沒有寄入白宮。

Two other packages suspected of containing the deadly poison ricin were found at a Pentagon mail screening facility and sent for FBI analysis.

此前，在五角大樓的郵件篩查設施中還發現了另外兩個疑似含有致命的蓖麻毒素的包裹，隨後被送去進行FBI分析。

Those envelopes -- one of which was addressed to Defence Secretary James Mattis -- were also found last Monday. Mr Mattis was away in Paris at the time.

這些信件也是上週一寄來的，其中一封是寄給國防部長詹姆斯·馬蒂斯的。馬蒂斯部長當時人在巴黎。

The screening area is not inside the main building, which contains offices of high-ranking military officials. The facility is now under quarantine, defence officials said.

The Secret Service said in a statement that the envelope addressed to the president "was not received at the White House, nor did it ever enter the White House".

特勤局在一份聲明中表示，給總統的那封信件“沒有寄到白宮，也沒有進入白宮”。

All mail delivered last Monday is currently under quarantine, and "poses no threat to Pentagon personnel", a spokesman said.

一位發言人表示，上週一發送的所有郵件目前都處於隔離狀態，“不會對五角大樓人員構成威脅”。
