Lil Wayne jail sentence delayed for dental surgeries. Rap star, Lil Wayne, who was sentenced for possessing gun has been relieved from imprisonment for a dental surgery. Popular rapper was expected to start sentencing from Feb 9, and now it is postponed until March 2.
New York State Supreme Court where his hearing is taking place postponed Wayne's sentencing because he required some medical rest after a string of dental surgeries. Wayne, who was scheduled for a year's jail life was thus temporarily escaped. Wayne can escape out of the jail if he behaves well in imprisonment.
27-year-old Lil Wayne Grammy winner rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Carter was charged for possessing gun that was found in his tour bus in July 2007. Wayne appeared for hearing in black jeans and blue jacket, did not speak during the hearing.
Intending his fans Wayne in a video clip said, "Thank you from the bottom of me. Do not forget about me 'cause I will forever think about you, and I cannot wait for you to see me again. I'm out."
Wayne's "Tha Carter III" was the the largest- selling album in 2008 and it won for him three Grammy Awards in 2009 including the best rap album.
As he manged to get some time now, producers of his many pending albums are on busy schedules to finish them as fast as possible.
"We shot some sh-- from the [We Are Young Money compilation] album, we shot something from [Wayne's forthcoming] Tha Carter IV. Some stuff from [Wayne's recent LP] Rebirth," the director told MTV News on Tuesday, before Wayne's sentencing was postponed. "We knew what our deadline was. We're trying to get maximum coverage for Wayne. Most of the time we only shot Wayne's verses -- we'll finish the rest of the videos off in the next couple of weeks.
