戴姆勒公司發佈公告 辱華高管遭免職

Daimler last Monday apologized and removed a senior executive after he was accused of making disparaging remarks about China.

戴姆勒公司上週一對一位被指發表辱華言論的高管進行了免職處理，並向公衆致歉。

Rainer Gartner, who headed Daimler's local trucks and buses unit, made insulting comments about Chinese people during a parking row with a Chinese driver at a residential community in Beijing's Shunyi district.

戴姆勒卡客車(中國)有限公司高管雷內·高海納在北京市順義區某居民區與一名中國司機發生停車糾紛時辱罵中國人。

He also used pepper spray to disperse people angered by his remark.

他還用辣椒噴霧驅散被其言論激怒的人羣。

"His conduct went against the values of 'equality and respect' that Daimler has long upheld," Daimler said in a statement. "We have immediately relieved the manager of his position," it said.

戴姆勒在聲明中稱："他的行爲與戴姆勒所秉承的'平等、尊重'的價值觀相違背。我司立即對該經理人進行了免職處理。"

"We sincerely apologize for the concerns raised by this matter".

“我們對此次事件引發的關注表達誠摯的歉意。”

The incident received wide public attention after two local newspapers－the Beijing Times and Beijing News－reported it on their websites respectively. It also became a hot topic on China's popular Sina Weibo microblog.

在兩家當地報社--《京華時報》和《新京報》分別於其官網上進行報道之後，這起事件引起了公衆的廣泛關注。同時，這一事件也成爲中國社交媒體新浪微博上的熱門話題。

Established in Beijing in September 2012, Daimler Trucks and Buses (China) Ltd is responsible for Daimler's business operations involving imported trucks, special trucks and buses in China.

戴姆勒卡客車(中國)有限公司於2012年9月在北京成立，負責戴姆勒公司在中國的各項業務，其中涉及進口卡車，專用卡車和公共汽車。
