考研英語作文預測
2016考研英語大綱已於9月18日出爐，跟2015年考研英語大綱相比，沒有什麼大的變化。現在老師就爲考生預測一下2016考研大綱的作文。
一、小作文
1. 小作文必備書信之申請信
1)Directions:
Imagine you are a student who wants to apply for the New Star scholarship offered by your university. Write a letter to the person concerned which should include
(1) the purpose of writing the letter;
(2) your qualifications for the scholarship;
(3) your thanks.
You should write about 100 words. Do not sign your own name at the end of the letter. Use "Li Ming" instead.
You do not need to write the address.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you in order to apply for the New Star Scholarship.
As you can see from the attached grade sheet, I am one of the top students in my department. I have also represented the university at the 8th English Speaking Contest, where I was placed first. It is because I have attained such high standards that the Dean, Prof. Wang, suggested I apply for the scholarship. I believe that I do not only do well in my study, also contribute to campus life and our university in my extracurricular activities, particularly as departmental head of the Student Union.

This picture is humorous but reveals a profound meaning. According to this figure, we can see that two individuals are digging wells for water with spades. However, one person gives up looking for water because he digs even three holes but still cannot find any water, while the other one insists on digging one hole and finally receives an abundance of water.
This picture tells us one principle which is a famous proverb called “Success belongs to the persevering”. It is obvious that the chance of finding water is fair enough to the two men. Nevertheless, the reason leading to the completely different consequences is only their different attitudes. As students, we should not doubt that the God will favor one special group and feel upset and hopeless. To be frank, our society is realistic and it provides everyone with same opportunities. We need to seize the opportunities, correct our attitudes and be down-to-earth persons. I firmly believe that we can achieve our goals by persevering painstaking efforts. Nothing is impossible as long as we do our best. In addition, sometimes insisting itself is not absolutely unquestioned. If we choose an unpractical goal, it is just a behavior of wasting life. On the contrary, it is wise to set an objective cautiously and then keep going without any complaints.
To sum up, selecting a right target and always working for it is of great significance for all of us.

A thought-provoking dialogue between the mother elephant and her own child appears in the first picture. Having growing his teeth, the young elephant is eager to share the exciting news with his mother. However, after repeating his words several times, there is still no response coming from the mother. Meanwhile, the attractive caption in the second photo reads: no trade, no kill.
The above pictures unveils a hazard posed to wildlife due to the expanding scale of world commercial hunting. At least two fundamental factors could contribute to this phenomenon. The industry of commercial hunting have undergone a booming expansion (along with the growing public awareness of the merits of wildlife, which makes/) , making hunting unusually profitable. Worse still, lacking knowledge regarding the significance of ecological balance, some people take the gun to chase animals insatiably (and thus cause a severe threat to all life in the world). Apparently, this trend will surely in turn endanger humankind in the long run.
(On no account should we turn a blind eye to such things.//All these factors above make it crucial to take drastic measures to protect the wildlife.) Accordingly, governments all over the world are supposed to unite to work out effective measures against commercial hunting. Additionally, people should be educated from childhood to cultivate the awareness that we and the rare wild animals share the same precious planet. I do believe a harmonious relationship between the wildlife and human beings is awaiting us if we make every effort to promote wildlife protection both nationally and internationally.

You should write about 150 words.
The bar chart above illustrates the various reasons that college students find it increasingly difficult in getting jobs. From the perspective of employers, the lack of practical experience, excessive expectations and financial crisis ranks the first, accounting for 57.1%, 42.3% and 36.9% respectively.
The job market for college graduates is getting tighter and tighter. To begin with, with the social competition becoming keener, college graduates should be well-equipped with practical experience which suits the demand of the society. Otherwise, they will fond no place for themselves. Unfortunately, the majority of them lack adequate practical ability and operative skills. What is more, another reason is connected with their attitude towards employment. A large number of graduates put earnings above anything else. They aim at the well-paid position in foreign corporations or big banks and set a standard as high as RMB 5,000 for their monthly salary. Since below that they won’t accept any job, many opportunities have been lost. Obviously, if they have realistic expectation of how much they should earn in the beginning of their career, it won’t be difficult for them to get a job.
With the increasing college population, employment for graduates will become more serious. Among many solutions, having a correct attitude toward it is an extremely crucial one.
