2009年8月8日,我國臺灣省臺南地區,遭受了多年不遇的強颱風

(Typhoon )“莫拉克”,家園和學校都遭到了損壞。假如你是Emily,今天你們班來了一個來自颱風災區的學生Anna,她將在你們班學習一段時間,你將如何幫助她?你對臺胞的遭遇有何感受?

Dear friends,

I’m Emily. Anna comes to our class today. She is from Taiwan, the typhoon-hit area. In her hometown, she has no school to study at, so she’ll study with us for some time. As her new classmate, I’ll try my best to help her. On weekdays I’ll show her around our school. I’m going to offer her some school things. I’ll also help her with her studies. I’ll ask her to play games with us. On weekends, I’ll invite her to my home, and cook some delicious food for her.
