1.a late bloomer大器晚成的人。原意是“遲開的花”，與人大器晚成相似。
Paul was such a slow worker at first that we almost fired him, but he proved to be a late bloomer.
保羅初來時是一個非常遲鈍的工作人員，我們幾乎要開除他，但最終證實他是一個有潛力的人。
apple polisher拍馬屁者。過去美國學生爲了討好老師，把擦得光光亮亮的蘋果遞給老師。
You should take much care of him, and he’s a real apple polisher.
你可得多留心那小子，他可是個貨真價實的馬屁精。
ugly customer粗暴的人。
ugly是ugly behaviour（行爲醜惡）的意思，指使用暴力，威脅他人。customer原意爲“顧客”，轉用於表示
“一沾上邊就會有麻煩的人”。
When he starts drinking, he can become an ugly customer.
他一喝上酒就會大吵大鬧，令人真是沒辦法。
4.a visiting fireman遠方的客人，來訪的大人物，貴賓。原指從地方前來的團體客人。他們從地方前來參加
大會，感到一身輕鬆，吃喝玩樂，揮金如土。現多指重要的商業夥伴或高級官員或公司老闆，是需要殷勤招
待的客人。
I’m behind in my work because our office had three groups of visiting firemen this week.
本週我們公司有三批遠方來客，因此我耽擱了工作。
