當下流行的各種“裸”
裸婚：
裸婚決不是搞naked wedding之意，而是不辦婚禮，不穿婚紗，不戴戒指，不請客，不買房，也不搞什麼蜜月旅行，只是領個結婚證，即get married without any ceremony, dinner party, or honeymoontraveling。
裸博：
裸博指從小學唸到博士沒有任何工作或社會實踐經驗的博士(doctorate holders without any practicalexpriences)。
裸官：
這些年，中國出了許多“裸官”，當然不是說他們不穿衣服，而是指一些貪官把存款、妻兒都安排到國外，準備逃亡他國。英語大概沒有類似的說法，翻譯時只能解釋爲：those officials who have put all their savings, or rather illegally gained money in foreign banks and sent their families abroad。
裸退：
國務院原副總理吳儀2007年提出要“裸退”，即退休後不擔任官方、半官方乃至企業、民間機構或羣衆組織的任何職務，連顧問等名譽職務也不擔任，英語只能說thoroughly retire and refuse to accept any post ortitle。

marry; get married; wed
可是要注意的是，“我要結婚”不能說成I will marry. “結婚”老外不單講 marry，而說 get married. 因爲單講 marry 是表示嫁或娶的意思，是一個及物動詞，必須要賓語。例如“我要娶她”就是 I will marry her. 。那麼“結了婚”就可以說 We were married 或是 We got married. 這二種都很常用
結婚還可以說get hitched. 例如Let’s get hitched.(我們結婚吧。)另外，可以說 make a big commitment，原意“作一個重大的承諾”，婚姻不就是一個重大的承諾嗎?所以你可以說I’ve decided to make a big commitment to him. 意思就是“我決定要嫁給他了。”
2.婚禮前通常來賓會將禮金即喜錢(gift of money to the couple)送給新郎新娘，而婚禮儀式(weddingceremony)中最重要的部分則是交換結婚戒指(a wedding band)，儀式結束後便開始婚宴(Weddingdinner, a wedding reception)。
