Hello! 大家好, 這裏是廣播學口語, 歡迎大家光臨. 上次我們看到了Tom精神沮喪,和女朋友在感情上出現了危機, 可到現在也沒有緩和。 讓我們來看看他悲慘的遭遇吧.

女朋友一改往日的溫情脈脈.把身子一扭＂Give him the cold shoulder＂.＂shoulder ＂就是＂肩膀＂.顯然女朋友真的生氣了.＂Give sb. the cold shoulder＂ 是＂對某人不友好,冷落某人＂的意思.
要說Tom還真傻 said:"I don’t know what’s wrong, but she has been giving the cold shoulder recently."(我不知道做錯了什麼嗎?她最近總是對我很冷淡.)有哪一個女孩子能容忍自己的男友想着別人呢?還特別是把女友的生日記錯了? 還是趕快道歉吧.
But unfortunately, no matter what Tom said, his girlfriend still gave him the cold shoulder．It seems that she has made up her mind to break up with Tom. (很不幸,無論Tom怎麼說,女友對的態度依舊是那麼的冷淡,看樣子,她是真的下定決 心要和Tom分手了. Tom的處境是不是很悲慘呢?

看到Tom 這個樣子,Andy實在是於心不忍.安慰他說:"Don’t be like this, dear Tom. You know there are plenty of other fish in the sea. You are so handsome, bright and hard-working; you will find another girlfriend in less than no time."
＂there are plenty of other fish in the sea＂這個句子我們已經學過了.是＂天涯何處無芳草＂.那＂less than no time＂是什麼意思,它們之間是不是有衝突呢.我們知道,Less than a month 是不到一個月的時間 than a minute 不到一分鐘的時間. ＂less than no time＂.我們可以理解成比任何時間都快,就是＂很快＂的意思. 那麼Andy是這麼說的"不要這個樣子,你知道,天涯何處無芳草,你又聰明又這麼帥氣,工 作又努力.很快就會再找到新的女友的."
和Tom比較起來要算是很幸福的了.因爲老婆是那麼的好那麼的體貼忽然想起了什麼.這天回家妻子正忙着作晚飯.只聽她對Andy說:"Just relax for a few minute will take me less than no time to get the dinner ready.(你先休息一下,晚飯馬上就好.)可是Andy從身後拿出一枝玫瑰來:"送給我辛苦的老婆."
