我國環保部緊急叫停X射線全身安檢掃描儀

China's Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) has urged the removal of full-body X-ray scanners at airports and railway stations due to radiation risks.

由於輻射風險，中國環境保護部敦促各機場和火車站停止使用X射線全身掃描儀。

In an urgent document sent to the Department of Environmental Protection of Sichuan Province last Monday, the MEP urged DEPSP to strengthen law enforcement and stop producing, selling and using full-body X-ray scanners without authorization to ensure the safety of the people.

在上星期一發送到四川省環境保護局的一份緊急文件中，環保部要求該保護局加強執法並停止生產、銷售和使用沒有授權的X射線全身掃描儀，來確保公民的安全。

The move came after some travelers complained about radiation hazards from the use of full-body security scanners at some train stations and airports in Chengdu and Mianyang.

此前部分旅客投訴稱，成都和綿陽的一些火車站和機場使用的全身安全掃描儀可能會帶來輻射危害。

After receiving the MEP document, the DEPSP said last Wednesday that the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is suspected of violating environmental protection regulations by using the devices.

在接收到環保部的文件之後，四川省環境保護局於上週三表示，成都雙流國際機場因使用該設備而涉嫌違反環保規定。

The MEP said that the use of ionizing radiation devices to screen humans on a large scale at airports, railways stations and ports is not appropriate.

環保部稱，在機場、火車站和港口使用電離輻射設備進行大規模人體檢測不具備正當性。
