常熟理工學院一女生裸體墜亡 校方稱不負責任

Changshu Institute of Technology has announced that it is not liable for the recent suicide of a female student, according to the family of the deceased girl.

日前，常熟理工學院一名女大學生墜樓身亡，而據死者家屬表示，校方聲稱對這起自殺事件無責任。

The student's body was reportededly found naked on the ground beside a dormitory building in the early morning of Oct. 21.

據報道，在10月21日清晨，人們在一幢宿舍樓旁邊發現了這名女生赤裸着的屍體。

According to an employee of the university, the school informed the student's family immediately after the body was discovered.

據該大學一名員工表示，在發現屍體之後，校方立即通知了死者家屬。

The university has also set up a special group to work with police, the employee added.

該員工補充說道，校方還成立了一個特別小組來和警方合作。

However, refusing to answer questions about possible motivation for the suicide, the employee said an official conclusion has yet to be reached by the police.

但是這名員工拒絕回答這名女生自殺有可能存在的動機，稱警方還沒有得出正式的結論。

Already, the girl's family has disputed the university's statement. A family member surnamed Fan explained that the school didn't inform them until nine hours after the body was found.

現在該女生的家屬已經對校方的聲明提出了異議。死者一名姓範的家屬解釋稱，校方並沒有立即通知他們，而是等到屍體在發現9個小時之後才這樣做的。

In addition, Fan said the university agreed to negotiate with them, but no one from the school showed up at the scheduled appointment.

此外，據這位範姓家屬表示，校方同意和他們進行協商，但是到了約定時間學校方面卻沒有一個人露面。

Later, university security blocked them from entering campus, even shoving the girl's mother to the ground.

後來，學校的保安就把他們堵在門外、不許進入學校，還把死亡女生的母親推倒在地。

In a previous conversation, a vice president of the university stressed that the school is free from accountability for the incident.

在之前的一次談話中，該校一名副校長強調學校對此次事件不負有責任。

The vice president claimed that the girl's family could file a lawsuit against the school if they wish.

該副校長聲稱，如果死者家屬願意的話，他們完全可以對學校提起訴訟。

When the family questioned the safety measures of the university, the school replied that such measures are designed for the student body as a whole - not individual students.

當死者家屬質疑學校安全措施的時候，校方回覆稱，這些措施是爲整個學生羣體設計的--而不僅僅只是爲了某些個別的學生。
