來華國際學生逐年增加 中國或成第二大留學地

China will challenge the UK's position as second in the world for international study by 2020, according to a latest report led by , accommodation provider for international students.

國際學生住宿服務商留學生公寓網的最新報告稱，到2020年中國將挑戰英國全球第二大留學目的地的地位。

The report said a record breaking 397,635 international students went to China in 2015 and China has been the third most popular destination for overseas students, behind only the US and the UK.

報告稱，2015年有創紀錄的397635名國際學生赴中國學習，中國成爲第三大最受海外學生歡迎的留學目的地，僅次於美國和英國。

With an average 10% year-on-year growth, the number of international students in China has doubled since 2005.

中國的國際學生數量自2005年以來翻了一倍，平均年同比增長率達10%。

The report added that despite a recent slowdown, China is still seeing faster growth than the world's two leading student destinations.

報告還指出，儘管近來中國的國際學生數量增長有所放緩，但其增速仍高於全球兩大主要留學目的地美國和英國。

The report forecasts that at current growth rates China will overtake the UK to be the second most popular destination for international students, eventually competing with the US for first place.

該報告預計，按照現在的增速，中國將取代英國成爲第二大最受國際學生歡迎的留學目的地，並最終與美國爭奪第一名的位置。

The Independent newspaper from the UK also quoted experts confirming that the number of international students studying in China has risen so rapidly, China will overtake the UK as the second most popular academic destination in the world.

英國《獨立報》援引的專家也確認，中國的國際學生的人數上升得非常快，中國也將取代英國，成爲世界上第二大留學目的地。

The Independent noted that the trend is thought to be partly due to a drive by the Chinese government, as well as increasingly higher education standards and scholarship programs for degree-seeking students.
