委內瑞拉拋棄美元 開始用人民幣爲石油計價

Venezuela published the price of its Oil and fuel in Chinese currency in what it called an effort to free the country from the "tyranny of the dollar," echoing a plan recently announced by President Nicolas Maduro.

近日，委內瑞拉發佈了以人民幣計價的石油和燃料價格，來把國家從“美元暴政”中解救出來，並與總統尼古拉斯·馬杜羅最近宣佈的計劃相呼應。

Mr Maduro last week said his government would shun the dollar after the United States announced sanctions that blocked certain financial dealings with Venezuela on accusations that the ruling Socialist Party is undermining democracy.

馬杜羅在上週表示，其政府將避免使用美元。而在此之前，美國指控委內瑞拉執政黨破壞民主，宣佈對委內瑞拉進行制裁，禁止與該國進行特定的金融交易。

The global oil industry overwhelmingly uses the US dollar for pricing of products.

全球石油行業一面倒地使用美元來計價。

A weekly Oil Ministry bulletin published listed September prices in yuan, while including prices from previous weeks and months in US dollars.

委內瑞拉石油部發布的一週公告中，9月價格是以人民幣計價，同時也包括幾周、幾月前以美元計價的價格。

"This format is the result of the announcement made by the president ... that Venezuela will implement new strategies to free the country from the tyranny of the dollar," the ministry wrote in a statement released after the bulletin.

石油部在公告之後發佈的一份聲明中稱：“這個模式是總統之前宣佈事項的結果...委內瑞拉將落實新策略，把國家從美元暴政中解救出來。”

Late socialist leader Hugo Chavez during his 14-year rule repeatedly vowed to back away from the US dollar, which he said was being printed indiscriminately and was destined to lose its place as the world's dominant currency.

已故的社會黨領袖烏戈·查韋斯在其14年的統治期間，曾多次誓言要放棄美元，他稱美元是任意印製的，註定要失去作爲世界主要貨幣的地位。

But Venezuela remains dependent on the greenback given that it conducts ample commercial trade with the United States both through exports of oil and imports of US food and consumer products.

不過委內瑞拉仍然依賴於美元，因爲它要通過出口石油和進口美國食品及消費品，來與美國進行大量的商業貿易。
