老乾媽Magic Source的美名在國外那也是如雷貫耳,傳說中拌什麼都好吃的老乾媽也獲得了不少老外的青睞……

他們對老乾媽的愛,甚至到了要專門推出一款冰淇淋口味的程度。

It’s well-established wisdom that everything tastes better with Lao Gan Ma, the spicy chili sauce from China’s Guizhou province that has won hearts and minds across the world.

瞧瞧咱這智慧,加了老乾媽,拌啥麻麻香——這款來自中國貴州的香辣醬虜獲了全世界不少食客的心。

Cookiebar Creamery, a California-based ice cream store, thinks so and is now combining the spicy chilli sauce flavor with vanilla ice cream, resulting in Lao Gan Mastans losing their chill-i across the internet.

加利福尼亞的一家冰淇淋店Cookiebar Creamery覺得老乾媽和冰淇淋也很配,直接在香草口味的冰淇淋里加入了這款香辣醬,這可讓網絡上老乾媽的鐵粉們坐不住了。

According to Cookiebar’s online menu description, Lao Gan Ma Vanilla Ice Cream makes “a perfect balance of sweet,savory and crunchy.” Although, their Insta description admits that you’re either “gonna hate it or love it.”

Cookiebar的線上菜單寫道,老乾媽香草味冰淇淋是“香甜、可口、吃上去脆脆的,並達到了完美的平衡。”雖然,他們在Ins上也承認了“愛吃的會停不下來,討厭的下不去嘴”。


店家表示,早在2018年,中國就發明了這種老乾媽配冰淇淋的網紅吃法:作“澆頭”(adding the sauce on top of vanilla ice cream)

Gao表示她愛上了這種口味:

The combination is definitely very heat of the chile and the icy creaminess of the ice cream is such an interesting contrast. Your mouth is confused, but your brain is like, “more! more!”
這種混合大法真是太讚了!辣醬的火熱和冰淇淋冰冰綿綿的口感交織在一起,產生奇妙的碰撞感。你嘴裏的味覺被搞的暈頭轉向,但你腦子裏的聲音在大喊“再來一口!再來!”。

而作爲冰棒蘸醬(serving a dollop of it with icepops)似乎也是種不錯的選擇:

It tasted fine. For the most part it tasted like vanilla ice cream even though I tried to scoop up as much oil and chunksas possible. There was a slight tinge of the herbs but nothing overwhelming.

嚐起來還可以。大部分味道還是香草冰淇淋的感覺,儘管我鏟了好幾勺辣油大口品嚐。淡淡的香草味,而不是說有種壓倒性的味覺勝利。

The spiciness effect did come but wasslightly delayed and was quickly extinguished by icecream in the back of the mouth.

辣味的反應會滯後一點,但還是嘗的出來的,但很快又消失了,只剩下冰淇淋的味道。


Cookiebar這次推出的是地地道道的混合口味,店家驕傲的表示這可算“新發明”!
 
不過這已經不是第一次中國特色風味入選海外冰淇淋口味行列,之前的“大白兔冰淇淋”還因爲“未授權”(unauthorized)問題鬧得沸沸揚揚:

So how does Cookiebar’s Lao Gan Ma variety taste? Bay Area food blogger Feed MeiMei dropped a TikTok videowith the spicy scoop after driving 40 minutes for a tub. “Personally I was nota fan of this combo, but I brought it back for my mom to try and she loved it,”she says.
所以Cookiebar的老乾媽混合口味冰淇淋味道到底如何?舊金山灣區的美食博主Feed MeiMei爲了嘗一桶特意驅車40分鐘買到手,並在TikTok發佈了相關的短視頻。“雖然我吃不慣,但我給我媽嚐了以後她很喜歡,”她(在視頻中)說道。

推上也有PO出了食用後感言……就……挺香的……
