公安部頭號通緝犯"爆頭哥" 被爆頭

One of China's most wanted men, suspected of killing nine in eight years, was shot dead by Chongqing police early Tuesday morning, according to China Central Television.

中央電視臺消息，中國公安部頭號通緝犯，8年來一共殺死9人的殺人犯，於週二上午被擊斃。

Zhou Kehua, a 42-year-old "Class-A" wanted suspect who committed his latest homicide on Sunday, shooting a police officer to death, was killed by police, said a CCTV morning news report.

42歲的周克華，是中國甲級通緝犯，上週末時候他開槍打死了一名警察。目前周克華已經被警察擊斃。中央電視臺的早間新聞報道。

Chongqing Morning News reported that Zhou was killed in a leather factory near Tongjiaqiao street in Shapingba district of Chongqing at about 6:50 am. The paper said plainclothes police discovered Zhou early Tuesday morning and tailed him. After Zhou noticed, the two sides exchanged gunfire. Zhou was killed, and some policemen were slightly injured.

重慶早間新聞消息說周在沙坪區童家橋的一家皮革廠附近被警察擊斃，時間在早晨6點50。公安部發布的消息稱，便衣警察發現了周並尾隨；之後周發現被跟蹤，於是雙方發生交火，周在交火中被擊斃，數名警察受輕傷。

Zhou was known to target people withdrawing money at the bank. He also killed one woman and injured two others outside a bank in Shapingba district last Friday.

Following his crimes last week, Chongqing police dispatched thousands for a citywide hunt in the city and promised a reward of 500,000 yuan ($78,000) to anyone who comes up with tips leading to his capture, dead or alive.

Since 2004, Zhou Kehua is suspected of being involved in a series of robberies and shootings (see details). The total volume of rewards offered across the nation for Zhou's capture surpassed 5 million yuan, according to police.
