尷尬! 美國警察火速破窗救的竟是假人!

Police in the US state of New York broke into a vehicle to rescue an apparently frozen woman, only to find it was a mannequin, local media report.

據當地媒體日前報道，美國紐約州的一名警察破窗闖入一輛車內，去營救一名看起來像被冰死的女子，結果發現只是一個模型假人而已。

A caller described as "upset" called police last Friday morning to report a woman "frozen to death" in a parked car in the city of Hudson.

上週五早晨，一位“火急火燎”的人士報警稱，在哈得遜市一輛停着的汽車內，一位女性被“凍死”了。

Officers found a seat-belted figure wearing an oxygen mask sitting motionless in the passenger seat.

工作人員發現，該'婦女'戴着氧氣面罩，繫着安全帶，靜靜的坐在乘客位上。

Police said the car was covered in snow, suggesting it had been left overnight in temperatures of about -13C.

據警方表示，這輛車被大雪所覆蓋，看樣子整晚都在零下13度的室外停着。

The mannequin was extremely realistic, with real clothing, glasses, shoes, teeth and skin blemishes, they added.

They later tracked down the owner, who complained about the police action.

他們後來查出了車主，不過該車主卻對警方的行動抱怨不已。

"It is my understanding that the owner was incredulous that we took action in this matter," police chief L Edward Moore said in a statement.

警長愛德華·摩爾在一份聲明中說：“我們覺得這個車主有些嫌疑，所以還是採取了行動。”

Chief Moore had this message for mannequin owners. "All citizens of Hudson should be put on notice that if you park your locked vehicle on the street on a sub-zero night with a life-size realistic mannequin seated in it... we will break your window."
