當心!南京養殖場出逃眼鏡蛇仍有50條未找到!
Over 200 monocled cobra snakelets have escaped from a breeding farm in the eastern Chinese city of Nanjing, prompting a mass search operation to locate the potentially-venomous serpents.
日前，中國東部城市南京的一家養殖場的200多條孟加拉眼鏡蛇幼蛇外逃，相關部門隨即開展了大規模的搜尋。The whereabouts of around 50 remain unknown, as medical authorities are on standby in case of snakebite reports.
目前仍有大約50條眼鏡蛇下落不明，防蛇咬險情出現，醫療部門正嚴陣以待。The slippery reptiles, which belong to Chunyi Breeding Cooperative in the suburban Liuhe district in Nanjing, broke free on August 26.
這些光滑的爬行動物爲南京六合區的春益養殖合作社所有，它們於8月26日外逃。
But the farm owner, Qin Guorong, failed to report the case to the police and has now been detained for investigation.
但是，該養殖場場主秦國榮卻並未及時將情況通報給當地警方，現已被拘留調查。
Qin said rain had caused cracks in the room flooring where the snakes were kept. "The snakes could slither away as long as there is a crack," Qin told .
秦國榮在接受《澎湃新聞》採訪時表示，接連的下雨天致使養殖房地面產生裂縫，這批蛇苗只要有一點裂縫就可以跑出去。He defended himself saying he believed the snakelets would not pose a serious threat as they would "die in several days since temperatures were falling."
他還辯稱，自己相信幼蛇不會造成太大嚴重危害，因爲他們"再過幾天就會因氣溫下降而死亡"。Around 150 of the snakes have been caught and killed, and the search for the other 50 or so is still underway.
