清明節回顧外國名人墓誌銘
清明節是緬懷和紀念逝去親人們的日子。那些故去的人們生前的行爲舉止我們可能都還記得，我們甚至可能會在網上爲他們寫下一段回憶的文字。
近幾年清明節快到的時候，很多網站都會掀起一股爲自己寫墓誌銘的活動，不少網友對自己的詼諧點評都引來了一片讚歎之聲。不過，我們今天要分享的不是這些還沒有派上用場的墓誌銘，而是一些已經銘刻在墓碑上很久的名人墓誌銘。
卡爾· 馬克思（Karl Heinrich Marx，1818年5月5日－1883年3月14日）
全世界無產階級的偉大導師、科學社會主義的創始人。偉大的政治家、哲學家、經濟學家、革命理論家、社會學家、革命家，社會學三巨頭之一。主要著作有《資本論》、《共產黨宣言》。他是無產階級的精神領袖，是當代共產主義運動的先驅。
墓誌銘：
The Workers of all lands unite. The philosophers have only interpreted the world in various ways - the point however is to change it.
全世界無產者聯合起來。哲學家們只是用不同的方式解釋世界，而問題在於改變世界。
歐內斯特•海明威（Earnest Hemingway，1899年7月21日－1961年7月2日）
歐內斯特•米勒爾•海明威，美國記者和作家，被認爲是20世紀最著名的小說家之一。海明威出生於美國伊利諾伊州芝加哥市郊區的奧克帕克，晚年在愛達荷州凱徹姆的家中自殺身亡。海明威一生中的感情錯綜複雜，先後結過四次婚，是美國“迷惘的一代”（Lost Generation）作家中的代表人物，作品中對人生、世界、社會都表現出了迷茫和彷徨。
墓誌銘：
Pardon me for not getting up.
請原諒我，我不起來了。
托馬斯•傑斐遜（Thomas Jefferson，1743－1826）
托馬斯•傑斐遜，美國政治家、思想家、哲學家、科學家、教育家，第三任美國總統。他是美國獨立戰爭期間的主要領導人之一，1776年，作爲一個包括約翰•亞當斯和本傑明•富蘭克林在內的起草委員會的成員，起草了美國《獨立宣言》。
墓誌銘：
Here was buried Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence, of the statute of Virginia for religious freedom, and father of the University of Virginia.
這裏安葬着托馬斯•傑斐遜。他是《獨立宣言》的起草人，《弗吉尼亞宗教自由法案》的起草人和弗吉尼亞大學的創始人。
威廉·莎士比亞（iam Shakespeare，1564－1616）
威廉·莎士比亞是歐洲文藝復興時期最重要的作家，傑出的戲劇家和詩人，他在歐洲文學史上佔有特殊的地位，被喻爲“人類文學奧林匹克山上的宙斯”。 他亦跟古希臘三大悲劇家艾思奇利斯（Aeschylus）、索福克裏斯（Sophocles）及幼裏匹蒂斯（Euripides）合稱戲劇史上四大悲劇家。
英國大詩人莎士比亞對自己遺骸、“陰宅”的珍愛，似乎並不在著名的埃及法老之下，法老庫孚墓碑上，有令人恐怖的咒語：“不論是誰騷擾了法老的安寧，‘死神之冀’將在他頭上降臨。”而莎士比亞的墓誌銘，據說是他自己撰寫的：
Good friend for Jesus sake forbeare, to dig the dust enclosed here. Blessed be the man that spares these stones, And cursed be he that moves my bones.
看在耶穌的份上，好朋友，切莫挖掘這黃土下的靈柩；讓我安息者將得到上帝祝福，遷我屍骨者將受亡靈詛咒。
邁克爾•傑克遜（Michael Jackson，1958年8月29日-2009年6月25日）
邁克爾•傑克遜，1958年08月29日在美國印第安納州加里市出生，美國歌手、舞蹈家、表演家、慈善家、音樂家、人道主義者、和平主義者、慈善機構創辦人。
墓誌銘：邁克爾.傑克遜親自爲自己寫的墓誌銘，用一段並不算長的文字，表達了對生命的理解和自我人生的總結。

瑪麗蓮•夢露（Marilyn Monroe，1926年6月1日-1962年8月5日）
瑪麗蓮•夢露，1926年6月1日出生於加利福尼亞州洛杉磯市，美國女演員。1999年，她被美國電影學會選爲百年來最偉大的女演員之第6名。
墓誌銘：
“37，22，35，R.I.P.”
這三個數字分別爲瑪麗蓮•夢露的胸圍、腰圍和臀圍的英寸數，R.I.P.爲Rest In Peace縮寫，意爲：安息
