年約30歲的上海遊客羅小姐4月21日在肯尼亞著名旅遊景點納瓦沙遭河馬襲擊，因流血過多搶救無效死亡。據悉，羅小姐當時試圖給一隻小河馬拍照，然後遭到了河馬媽媽的瘋狂攻擊。

A Chinese tourist was attacked and killed by a hippopotamus that strayed from Lake Naivasha into the compound of a hotel where she was staying.

The woman in her 30's was attacked by the lactating hippo mother which crushed her and she died on the way to hospital.

The incident occurred at Lake Naivasha Country Club five kilometres from Naivasha town.

Kenya Wildlife Service officers moved in and shot dead the wild animal.

The tourist was allegedly trying to take pictures of a young hippo when the mother attacked her.

這名年約30歲的女士遭到哺乳期的母河馬踩踏襲擊，在被送往醫院的途中身亡。

事故發生在離納瓦沙鎮5公里遠的納瓦沙湖鄉村俱樂部。

肯尼亞野生動物機構的工作人員採取行動，射殺了這隻母河馬。

據稱當時這隻女遊客是想給一隻小河馬拍照，結果遭到了母河馬的襲擊。

“河馬”的英文是hippopotamus，讀作/hɪpə'pɑːtəməs/，其複數形式爲hippopotamuses或hippopotami。hippo是非正式表達，river horse 也指河馬。河馬是淡水物種(freshwater species)中的最大型雜食性（omnivorous）哺乳類動物（mammal），主要居住在非洲熱帶的（tropical Africa）河流間。相關詞彙：食草的（herbivorous） ，食肉的（carnivorous），lactate（分泌乳汁），lactating（哺乳期的）。
