情態動詞在句子中的位置

一、情態動詞可以放在句首，具有助動詞作用，可以用來構成否定句，疑問句及用於簡單回答。例如：
1.Can you sing an English song？
你會唱英語歌嗎？
Yes I can.
是的，我會。
2.Can you help me？
你能幫助我嗎？
3.Can I stay with you tonight？
我今天晚上能和你在一起嗎？
4.Can you speak English？
你會說英語嗎？
5.Can you finish this project before 3 o’clock？
你能在三點之前完成這個項目嗎？
6.May you have a very happy life!
祝你們生活幸福美滿!
7.May you succeed!
祝你成功！

二、情態動詞可以放在英語句子主語的後面，動詞的前面，需要注意的是，情態動詞後面需要接動詞原形，即不帶to的不定式。
1.She may lose her way.
她可能迷路了。
2.My mother may come back.
我的媽媽可能回來了。
3.He may well refuse to speak to you,because he's in a bad mood.
他很可能拒絕和你說話,因爲他的情緒不好.
4.It may rain.
可能要下雨.
5.She may come or she may not.
她也許來,也許不來.
6.We must stay here.
我們必須待在這兒。
7.He must stay here.
他必須待在這兒。
8.We must call the police as soon as possible.
我們必須馬上報警。
9.He must finish his homework as soon.
他必須馬上完成他的作業。
10.You must play piano three hours in the day.
你必須一天彈三個小時的鋼琴。
