The London 2012 Olympics are on course to be the most over-budget games in 16 years after organizers have failed to accurately forecast security demands and private investment, Bloomberg reported.
據彭博社報道，2012倫敦奧運會有望成爲16年以來超預算最多的一次奧運會，原因是奧組委未能準確預計安保需求和私人投資總額。A study by the University of Oxford predicts that the sports celebration hosted in the British capital is likely to cost double its original estimates, making the event the most expensive one since the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, when costs overran by 147 percent.
牛津大學的一項研究預測，這場在英國首都舉行的體壇盛事，開銷很可能將達預期的兩倍，倫敦奧運也將成爲1996年亞特蘭大奧運會以來最“燒錢”的一場奧運會。據悉，亞特蘭大奧運超支147%。The British government has already tripled its original budget to an estimated 9.3 billion pounds, after failing to finance and develop the main site.
無力支付建設主體育場的費用之後，英國政府已經將預算增加到了原來的三倍，達到93億英鎊。
The security budget was doubled to 553 million pounds last year, as the original estimate of 10,000 guards fell short by nearly 14,000 people.
因原先1萬人的安保隊伍又新增了14000人，安保預算在去年也增加了一倍，達到5.53億英鎊。
