我國城鎮家庭看重校外教育

Among Chinese families with primary and junior high school students, a third of all household educational spending was used for supplemental education in 2017, according to a survey by the China Youth Daily.

《中國青年報》近日進行的一項調查顯示，2017年，我國有中小學生的家庭中，用於校外的教育支出佔全部家庭教育支出的1/3。

Supplemental education refers to educational products or services purchased from institutions or individuals other than schools for the purpose of developing a student's interest or improving the student's grades in school.

校外教育是指爲培養學生的興趣或提高其在校內的成績，而從校外機構或個人那裏購買的教育產品或服務。

In urban households, supplemental education accounted for 42.2% of the households' total education spending in 2017, while the figure was 16.6% in rural households.

去年在城鎮家庭中，校外教育在家庭總教育支出的佔比達42.2%，該數字在農村家庭中爲16.6%。

According to the survey, 47.2% of all primary and junior high school students received supplemental education in 2017, with an average cost of around 5,616 yuan per student.

該調查顯示，在所有中小學生中，有47.2%接受了校外教育，每個學生的平均花銷約爲5616元。

The country's supplemental education industry is estimated to have exceeded 458 billion yuan in 2017.

據估計，我國的校外教育產業總體規模在2017年已經超過了4580億元。

The survey was conducted among 40,011 households in 29 provincial-level regions across China.
