Ed Sheeran took to Instagram on Monday to explain his no-show, revealing he was celebrating his two-gong win by dancing with his cat, Calippo.

Divide, the British singer's third album, won Best Pop Vocal Album, while his hit track Shape Of You was crowned Best Pop Solo Performance.

Ed appears to be taking some time out after announcing his engagement on the social media site earlier this month with a sweet post of himself and Cherry kissing in a vintage photo filter.
