壯觀! 加拿大小鎮迎來今春第一座大冰山!

Nature photographers have flocked to a small town in Eastern Canada after a huge iceberg drifted just off the coast.

日前，在一座巨大的冰山飄移至加拿大東部一個小鎮的海岸之後，採風攝影師們蜂擁而至。

The towering iceberg floated into waters just next to Ferryland, Newfoundland, causing bumper-to-bumper traffic as tourists try to get a glimpse of it.

這座高聳的冰山就漂浮在紐芬蘭費裏蘭附近的海域，大批遊客慕名前來只爲目睹它的風采，導致交通一度堵塞。

The area is known as "iceberg alley" due to the arctic blocks that float down every spring.

由於北極的冰塊每年春天都會漂過來，所以這個地方也因此得名“冰山巷”。

This particularly huge one is expected to linger off the coast for some time because it looks grounded, Ferryland Mayor Adrian Kavanagh told CTV.

費裏蘭鎮長阿德里安·卡瓦納在接受加拿大電視臺採訪時表示，這座特別巨大的冰山有望在此逗留一段時間，因爲它看起來好像“擱淺”了。

"It's a huge iceberg and it's in so close that people can get a good photograph of it," he said. "It's the biggest one I ever seen around here."

他說道：“這座冰山如此巨大又靠近小鎮，遊人這次可以盡情地拍照了。這是我在這裏見過的最大的冰山。”

Canadian press reported that there had already been more icebergs than normal – with 616 already having moved into the North Atlantic shipping lanes compared to 687 by the late-September season's end last year.

加拿大通訊社報道稱，今年的冰山較以往有了明顯的增加--目前爲止已有616座冰山進入了北大西洋航道。要知道，去年九月底冰山季結束時總共纔有687座冰山。

Experts said it could be because of uncommonly strong winds and possibly global warming.

專家認爲，這可能是由於罕見的強風而造成的，並與全球變暖有關。
