A paper-cutting art exhibition titled "The Soul of the Yellow River" was recently displayed at the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC), which showcased more than 100 works of art, including a number of paper-cuttings created by Gao Fenglian, a female farmer from Yanchuan County of Shaanxi Province.
The exhibition is consisted of three sections: hometown, nostalgia and inheritance. Gao and her family have donated 80 sets of important masterpieces to the NAMOC for permanent collection.
Another impressive story of this farmer artist is that her family have spent a large sum of their own money on establishing a museum of paper-cutting art.
