1. 關於模板：
雅思寫作能否用模板得高分?學員們的成績說明，模板可保證5或5.5分甚至偶爾6分，但絕對會制約你得6.5分及以上的高分。什麼是模板?大家對下面這種中國人慣用的開頭段方式不會陌生吧: With the development of technology, …plays an important role in our life and arouses heated debate. Some people think…, others think…, I think….這就是最惡俗的制約我們得6分以上分數的開頭段模板。我們對比一下考官在劍8裏寫的滿分開頭段：

考官範文開頭段
Over the last half century the pace of change in the life of human beings has increased beyond our wildest expectations. 縱觀劍3-8上考官給出的滿分範文，考官開頭段的風格永遠都是針對題目中一兩個關鍵詞進行背景拓展，甚至加上自己的一些和題目相關的一些發揮，簡練(一般3句左右)而直逼核心內容，不會說一大堆沒有營養的空話套話。
我對於模板的態度一直很鮮明：一切以實戰需要爲準，不說空話。每個考生的英語功底都是不同的，英語基礎好，有實力原創的同學考前不需要準備固定的套路，而應該把時間用在研究真題和範文上;
而對於確實沒有能力原創太多的同學來說(有些死孩紙完全靠自己實力寫出來的文章真的是令人心碎惆悵)，如果不事先準備好邏輯框架，在考試中真就有可能寫不出來，字數不夠或者邏輯顛三倒四。所以模板因人而異，少用精用而不濫用。
2. 關於語言質量：
不僅雅思寫作，所有的寫作都包括在內，都不需要用特別變態特別難特別生僻的詞彙。有的烤鴨有這樣一個誤區，那就是我把單詞寫難了大家都不認識我就能得高分了。
試想一下：我們在雅思寫作中會用到諸如糖尿病腦血栓等這樣的專業大詞嗎?有個孩子以前在雅思作文中寫出神經元的分解，當時我一下就崩潰了。雅思寫作不是考察用詞的難度，而是指用詞的有效性，包括準確度，新穎度，靈活度，所以我們針對這種情況會專門總結一些寫作詞彙。
比如“教育”這個詞，我們都會用education這個詞，但是更高級更易得分的寫法就是這樣寫：schooling---學校教育，parenting---家長教育，這就是更容易得分的寫法了。再比如“心理健康”這個詞，我們都會用mental health,更容易得分的寫法是psychological soundness。在我們的課程中會專門有總結。
還是回到考官範文。縱覽考官範文，他們都不會用難詞大詞怪詞偏詞，但是通過多變的句式和亮點詞組會讓文章變得非常耐看。這種詞彙我們上課會有專門的歸類總結，同學們也可以自己整理。我一直告訴我的學生：背誦借鑑和模仿是提高寫作能力最快和最佳的途徑。建議大家把喜歡的篇章、段落、句式、詞彙摘抄到一個本上，通過不斷翻閱增加記憶。
