英語美文- 時間銀行Time Is a Bank

上帝很公平，他公平地給每一個人每天24個小時，今天我們能就來分享一篇將時間比作銀行的文章。這篇文章中，用到了很多銀行中常用的術語，如：註銷，遺失，餘額，透支，存款，取錢等，這些比喻非常的精巧，也恰恰說明了時間的重要性，而且遠遠比真實的存款還要重要。

overdraft vt. [金融] 透支

deposit n. 存款；

Treasure vt. 珍愛；珍藏

Everyone has a bank. Its name is TIME. Every morning, it credits you.with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft.

每個人都有一個銀行，它的名字叫"時間"。每天早晨，它在你的帳戶裏存入86,400秒鐘。不管你是否很好地利用了這筆時間，每天晚上它會照例把這筆時間作爲遺失註銷。它沒有餘額，也不允許透支。

Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the records of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours.

每天它會爲你開一個新帳戶，每晚它會把該天的記錄全部刪除。如果你沒有好好地利用當天的這筆時間，那麼損失由你自己承擔。

There is no going back. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow". You must live in the present on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success! The clock is running. Make the most of today: "Seize the day!"

沒有回頭路，也不能向"明天"借時間。你必須以今天的時間"存款"爲基礎生活在現在。有效地投資這筆時間以便從中獲取有關健康，快樂及成功最大的收益。時鐘正在流逝。好好地利用今天："抓住每一天！"

So, you see, time is important, make the most of it. After all, life is either a daring adventure or nothing!
