Reversal of Fortune《命運的逆轉》是1990年的電影,講述一位富豪被控謀殺妻子,一切證據都對他十分不利,陪審團認爲罪名成立,將被判刑.他不服上訴,並延請一位法律教授出庭辨護,法律教授通過嚴密的調查分折,將一審有罪的判決推翻.儘管謀殺的可能性依然存在,但再無指控的法律根據.

在英語裏,fill sb's shoes的意思是"成功地接替某人(的工作)", do sb's job in a satisfactory way when they are not there

"撒個小謊"就可以說成"to tell a white lie".
e.g. When she asked me if I liked her dress I had to tell a white lie. I thought it looked awful, but I couldn't say no! 當她問我喜不喜歡她的新裝時,我只能撒個小謊.其實我覺得那件衣服難看之極,卻不好直說.
