128 regretful, regrettable
這兩個詞都是形容詞，都有遺憾惋惜之意，但詞意有差異。
Regretful的意義是“遺憾的”、“惋惜的”（feeling or showing regret），有時亦表“懊悔的”意義。例：
We were deeply regretful to hear that you could not come and
spend the vacation with us.
聽說你們不能來和我們共度假期，深感遺憾。
She is regretful of what she has done.
她對於自己所做的事感到後悔。
After upsetting the plate of food, the child showed a regretful

Rogrettable的意義是“可悔恨的”、“可惋惜的”（causing regret）。例：
