264. 那種音樂在青年中很流行。
[誤] That music is popular with the youngs.
[正] That music is popular with the young.
注：如 young 一類的形容詞前面加上定冠詞 the，就變成名詞，它表示所有這一類的人。這樣的名詞必須是單數形式，但動詞一定是複數。在英語中，像 the young 這類的表達形式並不多。最常見的有 the blind, the deaf, the sick, the mentally ill, the poor, the unemployed, the old, the dead, the rich, the clever,等等。
