我們開了一個快樂的晚會，又喝酒，又跳舞，一直玩到最後盡興，我們纔回家。
[誤] We had a nice party with drinks and dancing, then, after all, we went home.
[正] We had a nice party with drinks and dancing, and finally, we went home.
注：after all 不是finally 的意思，它主要有兩層詞義：
一、“畢竟，終究”。after all 這一用法，通常置於句末。
二、“必須記住，別忘了”。after all 的這一用法，通常置於句首。所以根據誤句所要表達的意思來看，不能用after all，而是要用finally 來表示“若干時間或動作”之後的“最後（行動）。
