1. Expression：lift one out of rut
Explanation：To make one give up his old habitual behavior. （使得某人擺脫就習慣）
Example：He goes out drinking most evenings and comes back after midnight. His wife is tired of it and ditermined to life him out of the rut.
晚上他差不多都到外邊喝酒，然後午夜後纔回家。他的妻子厭倦他這樣的習慣，決心幫他擺脫。

Usage：也可以說說爲：get in a rut。

Example：I had so many ambitions when I first graduated from college, but now I feel like I've got into a rut.
