可可網友們大家好。記得有一首歌名叫《假如生活欺騙了我》，具體歌詞不記得，不過生活中誰都不免遇到各種形式的欺騙，惡意的，善意的，造成了傷害的，被理解的，等等。今天，就和Rose 先了解其中的幾樣吧。
go through the motions 走過場；裝樣子
I don’t want to do this, but I think I’d better go through the motions. 我不想做這件事，但我想我還是裝出做的樣子爲好。
I go to work each day just to go through the motions and collect a paycheck. 我每天上班只是例行公事，就是爲了工資。
Cook the book 做假賬
這個事兒性質就嚴重多了。
If they looked over the books there would be no hiding the fact that she had cooked the books. 要是他們查了那些書，那麼她做假賬的事兒就無所遁形了。
有時候，對某些事兒某些人可能只是口頭上應承一下，心裏並不承認，也不會付諸實際行動，這樣的做法某稱程度上屬於欺騙。
Pay lip service to something 口頭上承認，嘴上說說
They pay lip service to education, but don’t work for better schools 他們聲稱支持教育，卻不爲改善學校做實際工作。
It’s not enough to pay lip service to that project. We have to do somehing about it. 光口頭上支持那個項目是不夠的。我們必須做點什麼。
Pull the wool over someone’s eyes 欺騙某人
用羊毛擋住了某人的眼睛，讓你看不到真相。
He said you always try to pull the wool over his eyes. He thinks you are dishonest. 他說你總是試圖欺騙他。他覺得你不夠誠實。
They tried to pull the wool over our eyes with this report, but we know the results are based on wrong information. 他們想用這份報告欺騙我們，但我們知道報告所依據的資料都是錯的。
