中式英語之鑑:年老
我們都尊敬系裏經驗豐富的老教師。
[誤] We all respect the experienced aged teachers in our department.
[正] We all respect the experienced old（或 senior）teachers in our department.
注：aged 往往有“年邁力衰”的含意，用作原句的譯文不恰當。我們可以說：We should take care of the sick
and the aged.我們應當照顧病人和老人。I go home to see my aged parents at weekend. 週末我回家看望年邁的雙親。因爲在兩個例句中強調的是“年老體弱”。
