《小謝爾頓》S1E7：“少管閒事”用英語怎麼說？

1. hold on to
hold onto/on to sth的意思是“保留，保存“：
Hold on to your ticket - you'll need it later.留着你的票——以後還會用到的。
補充hold實用表達——
hold your nose 捏住鼻子
hold hands （尤指爲了表示兩人相愛）手拉着手
hold sb/sth back 阻礙…的發展
hold sb/sth up 耽擱，延誤；搶劫，打劫
2. mind your own business
還記得《新概念》第一篇嗎，學的就是mind your own business：
business除了買賣生意這些意思，還表示“個人事務“，所以說mind your own business就是管好自己的事。

have no business doing sth 無權做…
get down to business 進入主題，討論正題
3. recipe for
recipe所搭配的介詞是for而不是of，比如：
recipe for buttermilk biscuits
酪乳餅乾的烹飪法
recipe for wholemeal bread
全麥麪包的食譜
a recipe for disaster, trouble, success, etc.
是災難的禍因／麻煩的源頭／成功的訣竅等
All those children unsupervised sounds to me like a recipe for disaster.
