英語裏有很多對稱的短語，比如：

2. hang by a thread

hang by a thread可以形象的表示“千鈞一髮，岌岌可危，危在旦夕”：

The mayor's political future has been hanging by a thread since the fraud scandal.欺詐醜聞爆出後，市長的政治前途岌岌可危。

這裏還有個動詞dangle，意思是提着來回擺動，也很形象哦！

Loose electric wires were dangling from the wall.鬆散的電線從牆上垂了下來。

康妮打電話給瑪麗打小報告，告訴女兒喬治的所作所爲。

get a load of that!一般是口語裏表示“快來看看這個”。
