1.“Kunming”這個中國的地名，大家肯定是再熟悉不過了，但是卻也不能大意，因爲大部分英語學習者都寫不好地名，都知道要用拼音，感覺很簡單，但寫出來就各式各樣了。正確的寫法應該是：“只有”首字母大寫，拼音中間沒有空格，“Kun Ming”“KunMing”“Kun ming”“kunming ming”“kun ming”等等都是不正確的。
2.“It's time for sth.”的意思是“到／是做…的時間了，該做…了”，例如：Come on, it．stime for bed.（快點兒，該上牀睡覺了。）若是接動詞不定式，則可以用“It's time(for sb.)to do sth.”的結構，例如：It's time for me to go.（我該走了。）

英國人爲什麼愛談天氣
英國人談天氣，和中國人問“吃了嗎一一樣，非常頻繁且常常不在乎你的回答。正如英國人常說的“It's hot. Isn't it?”，說者無心，聽者也可無意。
爲什麼英國人見面喜歡談論天氣呢？原因有二：
1．英國人性格內向，不喜歡錶露自己的感情，不愛講個人私事，於是只好“談天”。
2．英國天氣變化無常，氣候之惡劣世界聞名。藉助天氣，常常引出其他話題。
蘇格蘭東北部天氣晴朗的時間只佔全年的五分之一，霧雨冰雪天氣經常可見。在英格蘭連續三星期不下雨的情況極少見，一年之中有半年左右是斷斷續續的陰雨天，所以在“談天氣”時，人們極少讚揚，一般總是抱怨。
倫敦是有名的“霧都”。每年秋冬季節，倫敦地區就大霧瀰漫，有時伸手不見五指，白晝猶如黑夜也不足爲奇。近20年來，由於政府重視環境保護，冬季出現濃霧的現象已大大減少。
但在夏季晴朗的好天氣中還會偶爾有薄薄的霧氣。爲此，英國戰前首相亞瑟，內維爾·張伯倫（Arthur Neville Chamberlain)一年四季雨傘不離手，在國內外曾傳爲趣聞。
